Movement training for your pelvic floor

Using a whole body approach SOMA moves females away from traditional kegals and gets their pelvic floor aligned, strong, moving better, stabilising and absorbing force whilst eliminating leaks and managing symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse.

I get it - I was there too....

As a runner and cyclist - I've had my fair share of injuries but nothing quite impacted me as much as the symptoms that came along with a pelvic organ prolapse. I distinctly remember doing the school run and thinking "no-one else seems to be suffering" ..... you feel alone, fearful of movement whilst also fearful of becoming unfit and inactive, you lose trust in your body, your annoyed at what bearing children has left you with and your annoyed that nobody instilled knowledge and confidence in your ability to tackle these symptoms. You mentioned it to your mid wife and you got a glazed immemorable response as they perhaps muttered something about doing "your kegals".

So what will help?

Specilist female movement and exercise coaching offered by SOMA will focus on ensuring you are managing and distributing pressure well - this is your breathing education, your rib mobility, your core strength and building sensible, cohesive core and pelvic floor muscle patterning and co-ordination.

Fundamental to breath strategies and core is also working on hip mobility and position, pelvis mobility, pelvic floor muscle resting position, pelvic stability, balancing bilateral hip strength and glut function;.its layering awareness and strength of self so that you regain control over your movement patterns and ultimately your pelvic floor symptoms; whether that is leaking or pelvic organ prolapse.
